Cancer&Entry Information
| Cancer Name | papillary thyroid cancer |
| ICD-0-3 | NA |
| Methods | qRT-PCR, Transwell assay, Cell proliferation, Flow cytometry apoptosis assay, Luciferase reporter assay, Tumor xenograft animal model |
| Sample | PTC tissues, PTC cell lines (K1, IHH4, and TPC1) |
| Expression Pattern | down-regulated |
| Function Description | lower levels of circRNA circ-ITCH are expressed in PTC tissues than in normal adjacent tissues.?Gain-offunctional assays show that circ-ITCH overexpression suppresses PTC cell proliferation and invasion and promotes apoptosis in vitro.?Overexpression of circ-ITCH also leads to impaired tumor growth in vivo.?Bioinformatics analysis and luciferase reporter assays demonstrate that circ-ITCH sponges miR22-3p to upregulate the expression of CBL, an E3 ligase of nuclear b-catenin.?Elevated levels of CBL suppress activation of the Wnt/b-catenin pathway and consequently attenuates PTC progression. |
