Cancer&Entry Information
| Cancer Name | multiple myeloma |
| ICD-0-3 | C42.1 |
| Methods | qPCR, Western blot |
| Sample | bone marrow tissues, cell lines ( OPM-2, U266, KM3, XG1, JJN3, RPMI, U1996, H929, and MM1S) |
| Expression Pattern | up-regulated |
| Function Description | H19 knockdown induced by shRNA transfection significantly inhibited proliferation, viability and colony formation in MM cells, as well as inactivated NF-kB pathway.combination treatment of H19 knockdown and NF-kB suppression (induced by specific inhibitor PDTC) produced synergistically inhibitory effects.patients with high expression of H19 had a lower survival rate.H19 was involved in MM cell growth. The linkage between H19 and NF-kB pathway may provide a novel interpretation for the mechanism of H19's growth regulation in MM. |
