function description MALAT1 exerts a modulatory effect on pro-migratory markers such as epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) and integrin B4 (ITGB4),suggesting a potential mechanism for MALAT1-mediated regulation of tumorigenesis. In summary,we establish and characterize a PTEN-miRNA-MALAT1 axis that regulates migration and invasion. MALAT1 lncRNA possesses novel tumor suppressive properties in colon and breast cancers.MALAT1 is regulated by the PTEN-targeting microRNAs miR-17,20a and 106b.
